S500Q — Q+T structural steel, 500 MPa yield. For heavy construction equipment, mining machinery and lifting gear. Better toughness than thermomechanically rolled equivalent.
S500Q per EN 10025-6. Quenched and tempered, min yield 500 MPa, min impact 30 J at -20 C (Q designation). CE typically 0.47-0.54. Excellent balance of strength, toughness and weldability. Used for excavator booms and arms, heavy truck frames, crane lattice structures and mining bucket bodies where S355 needs thicker sections.
