S960QL — Q+T ultra-high-strength structural steel, 960 MPa yield. For highest-performance mobile cranes, special vehicles and ultra-light load-bearing structures.
S960QL per EN 10025-6. Quenched and tempered, min yield 960 MPa (t<=50 mm). Produced by SSAB (Strenx 960), Dillinger and SSAB. Used for mobile crane boom sections, special emergency vehicles and military bridging where absolute minimum weight is critical. Significantly higher strength than S890QL justifies premium cost.
