S355ML — thermo-mechanically rolled fine-grain HSLA steel. Better toughness than S355J2 at low temperature. For offshore wind foundations, arctic structures and heavy welded fabrications.
S355ML per EN 10025-4. Thermo-mechanically controlled processing (TMCP) gives fine grain size without normalizing — better toughness and lower carbon equivalent (CE<=0.39) than S355J2. "M" = thermomechanically rolled, "L" = low-temperature impact (-50 C min 27 J). Standard for offshore wind monopiles, arctic pipeline supports and heavy welded structural work.
