4047 / AlSi12 — high silicon Al alloy for brazing filler and welding wire. Excellent fluidity, low melting point (577 C). For aluminium brazing, welding rod for castings and automotive heat exchangers.
EN AW-4047 (AlSi12) per EN 573-3 / AWS A5.10. 12% Si gives a near-eutectic composition with melting point 577-582 C — lowest of standard aluminium alloys. Primarily used as brazing filler metal and MIG/TIG welding wire for casting repair. No heat treatment applicable. Standard filler for automotive heat exchanger brazing (CAB process).
