46Cr2 (EN 1.7006) per EN 10089. Low Cr (0.40-0.60%) addition to 0.43-0.50% C gives minimal hardenability improvement at low cost. Standard for agricultural machinery springs, gate springs and non-fatigue-critical spring applications.
